How to Get Started

Download the appInstall Karigar Book from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android).

Login with your credentialsEnter the username and password provided by your business owner. New businesses can contact support to set up an account.

Add karigarsGo to the Karigars tab and add your craftsmen with their metal type (Gold, Silver, or Both).

Create your first jobTap "Add Job", select a karigar, add item details, fine weight, and set the job status.

Record entriesUse the Entries tab to log issue and receive transactions. The ledger updates automatically.

View reportsUse the Reports section to filter by date range and review balances for any karigar.

FAQ
I forgot my password. How do I reset it? ⌄
Password reset is handled by your business owner (admin). Ask them to update your credentials from the User Management section of the app, or contact us at support@karigarbook.in and we will assist you.
Can multiple users use the app at the same time? ⌄
Yes. Karigar Book supports multi-user access. The Owner can add team members and assign them the Karigar role. Karigars can only view and interact with their own jobs and entries, while the Owner has full access to all records.
Is my business data secure? ⌄
Yes. All data is transmitted over HTTPS/TLS encrypted connections. Your business data is stored on secured cloud infrastructure. We do not share or sell your data to any third parties.
The app is showing old data. How do I refresh? ⌄
Pull down on any list screen to refresh the data from the server. If you are offline, the app displays locally cached data. Ensure you have an active internet connection and try again. If the issue persists, force-close and reopen the app.
How do I add a new karigar? ⌄
Go to the Karigars tab → tap the + Add Karigar button → fill in the karigar's name, speciality, and metal type (Gold / Silver / Both) → Save. The karigar will appear in your list and be available for job assignments.
What is "Fine Weight" and how is the balance calculated? ⌄
Fine weight is the net pure gold or silver weight in a job entry, calculated as gross weight × touch / 100. The running balance is the difference between total fine weight given (issued) to a karigar and total fine weight received back. A positive balance means the karigar still owes you fine weight.
The app crashes or won't load. What should I do? ⌄
Try the following steps: (1) Force-close the app and reopen it. (2) Check your internet connection. (3) Uninstall and reinstall the app — your data is safe on the server. (4) If the problem persists, email us with your device model and OS version at support@karigarbook.in.
Is Karigar Book available for iOS and Android? ⌄
Yes. Karigar Book is available for both iOS (iPhone/iPad) and Android devices. Download it from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
How do I report a bug or suggest a feature? ⌄
